Incubi, succubi, kitsune, huli jing, lilu, melusine, lamia, and so on. Myths and legends around the world are filled with tales of these spirits, often called demons, who share one common aspect: they interact sexually with humans. The reasons as to why vary with the parties involved and who's telling the tale. More often than not, it doesn't end well for the mortals they visit, but sometimes some good comes from it. Or at the very least, it doesn't wind up being all bad. More recently, nuanced tales are told of these creatures: they have wants, needs, and desires beyond the flesh. Sometimes they can do good, despite their perceived nature.

Enter a world where these creatures exist, if they don't already in your character's canon. Explore what it would be like for your character to either be one of these creatures or to interact with one of them. Will they survive the encounter?

1. Post a comment with your character's name, canon, and preferences in the subject line. It's recommended that you also write out some ideas for what you'd like to play out in the body: ideas for scenarios or dynamics, a blurb about your character's past and abilities, etc. Try not to leave it blank; give people something to work with.

2. If you're having trouble deciding, some options have been provided that you can RNG.

3. Respect people's preferences. Though the premise of this meme deals with sexual issues, this is not necessarily a smut meme. You can play out all the gen, fluff, smut, hurt/comfort, etc. that you want. Just make sure to respect your partners.

Roles

1. Incubus - The most common name for the male form of this creature, they are known for visiting women and feeding upon them during intercourse. They have been known to be witches' familiars. Of course, there's no reason why they should be limited to working with or feeding upjust women, or women at all.
2. Succubus - The female form of these creatures, most tales describe them as visiting and feeding upon men during the night. They have been blamed for the nocturnal emissions and being the mothers of other demons. Just as with incubi, they do not have to be limited to visiting women only or at all.
3. Shifter - Depending on the story, there is only one kind of spirit that visits people: capable of shifting sex, it visits one person in one form and another person in another.
4. Victim - Maybe it was chance that brought you to the attention of one of these creatures. Maybe someone cursed you. Maybe you're just that attractive in some form or another. No matter what the reason is, you
5. Summoner/Partner/Worshipper - Perhaps you're a witch or some other kind of magician summoning this creature. It could be for a magical partnership or it could be to use against someone else. Maybe you're just lonely and want to get laid. In some cultures, creatures like this were feared and/or worshipped - maybe you're keeping the traditions alive?
6. Progeny - Merlin and Gilgamesh are both examples of children fathered by these creatures. It's obvious that the union between them and humans produces children of unusual skill. If you're the child of an incubus or a succubus, do you know it? Do you want to know your real parents?
7. Hunter - Were you a victim who broke free of their clutches? Was someone you know hurt by these creatures? Are you part of a group devoted to monitoring or taking them out? Whatever the reason, you pursue these creatures and try to minimize the harm they can do.
8. Other - Not everything is covered above. Feel free to play out any scenarios you want in the setting.

Scenarios

1. Summoning - If you're capable of it (or maybe it was an accident), you've summoned yourself an incubus or a succubus. Are they going to listen to you, or are they going to have their way in one form or another?
2. (Repeat) Feeding - A creature's got to eat, and these creatures feed through contact - usually sexual, but sometimes any old physical contact will do. They say a person can survive, but sometimes the urge to feed gets too strong and they feed too deeply.
3. Illness - You've been visited, and probably not for the first time. When a person is fed upon, they will most likely start showing signs. Fatigue, suggestibility, and so on. Will someone notice? Will your visitor have a change of heart?
4. Romance - It's rare, but it happens. There's no malice behind feeding, usually. It's just a creature trying to survive, and sometimes they fall in love. But can they tell the person they've fallen for what they are? Will that person accept them?
5. Discovery - Now's as good as time as any, or maybe it's the worst possible time, but people know. How will you deal, as one of these creatures? Do you run? As the person who's found out, do you attack them or try to understand, if understanding is possible?
6. Weakness - Sometimes there's a weakness these creatures have. Cliche as it might sound, sometimes love can save you. In some versions of the story, true love will protect a person and ward them from these creatures. Sometimes love will actively hurt them.
7. Other - It's a whole new world out there. Maybe you're an incubus or succubus that tries to live as a librarian and likes getting coffee from the shop down the street. From mundane to exciting to cruel, your choices are limitless.

[Fluttershy wasn't sure why, but she couldn't help feeling like she was being watched all day. Sure, she was around her friends and other people, so it wasn't like she was alone, but...she couldn't shake the feeling of eyes constantly on her.

It was especially worse when she was alone. Such as now, when she was getting into bed. It was strange, and it was making it hard to actually sleep.]

Yay okay!

[kyulove]

[That sensation of being watched? Yeah it only intensifies after a few minutes in the darkened room. From the darkness, a voice chuckled.] Wakey wakey, there's work to be done!

C'mon get up gorgeous, I ain't waiting around!

[Fluttershy jumps, sitting up in bed and looking around.]

Wh-Who's there...?

Oh you forget this voice already? Oh right, we skipped the preamble.

[In the middle of the room, a curvy form appeared as Kyu alighted on the floor.] My names Kyu, I'm your professional Love Fairy at your service! C'mon lazy bones, we need to get you looking good for your first date!

[She blinks at the strange figure in her room.]

H-Huh...? L...L-Love Fairy...F-First date...Wh-What are you talking about...?

Oh my god, it's worse than I thought.

[Kyu sighed.] I'm Kyu, a Love Fairy sent by the Goddess to make sure that girls like you get the date of your dreams. And to hook up, and knock boots too. There's also a clause that I get to participate if I'm impressed with your work. With me so far?

I-I...I guess...? B-But...why me...?

[kyulove]

Because it's my job to make you happy! Listen sugar, how many dates have you had? 1? 2?

[She was almost dreading "Define date" like the last person who had answered her.]

[strengthinkindness]

U-Um... [She fidgets with her blanket, a bit embarrassed.]

W-Well I...I-I've never really...been on a date before...ever...

Oh my god... well... it's not THAT bad. Could be worse.

[Kyu folded her arms, examining Fluttershy from all angles for a brief moment.]

This might not do at all. We might need to build up your emotional endurance. You go out into the street to pick up dudes or chicks or whatever, and you will be eaten alive.

[She fidgets, feeling a bit embarrassed as Kyu studies her.]

H...H-How do we do that...?

Well okay, you know what sex is right? Best thing to do is to get laid. That'll boost your confidence.

[Not the most accurate thing in the world, but shit, she was on a timetable this time.] Normally I'd walk you through the process, but we're already behind schedule. No time for match 3 here so we'll make due.

[Kyu's new assignment is... a challenge. A virgin, of course, and a nerd. An overachiever - top of his class, student council president, president of the handicrafts club. Never even had a girlfriend, let alone gotten laid. It's almost like it isn't even a priority for him!]

[It's almost like after that last assignment they think Kyu's some kind of miracle worker. Maybe she's gotten a little too good at her job if all they're going to give her are the tough cookies from here on out...]

[ooc: Up to you how Kyu chooses to approach and whether Ishida is a ghost-hunting exorcist like he is in canon or a normal high schooler. Let me know if you'd like me to change anything.]

[Kyu had been observing him for a while, and decided that this young man was not going to like the subtle approach.

So instead, she transformed her hair, hid her wings and dressed in her daring red dress as she approached him during one of his downtime periods when it was later in the evening.] Hey there, handsome. What's your name?

[It was direct, a little possibly off putting, but it was important to establish a rapport before moving in for the kill so to speak.]

[His reaction was, frankly, disconcerted. It was clear he wasn't used to being hit on, but there wasn't anyone else around for her to be addressing instead of him. They're a short distance from his apartment - he'd been on his way to the crafts shop for more supplies.]

[... Still, there wasn't any reason to be impolite.] Ishida Uryu. Can I help you? [Maybe she needed directions? Dressed like that - it was like she was looking for a night on the town, and she definitely wasn't in the right part of Karakura for that.]

Oh I'm here to check something, or a someone. You're pretty polite with the ladies, especially one who is deliberately dressed like a night on the town.

So, how many dates have you been on?

Right, lemme introduce myself. [And she pulled a card from her cleavage, offering it to him.] I'm Kyu, a Love Fairy. A genuine, honest to Venus Love Fairy. You, need help, of the romantic kind.

[She had to have been put up to this. Sado and Kurosaki wouldn't have, certainly. Asano, maybe?]

[Yes, in a world where he'd seen the spirits of the dead as long as he could remember and hunted soul-eating monsters, in a world where he'd seen a talking cat, he was arbitrarily skeptical of a "love fairy".]

[He hesitated to even accept the card, and when he took it, he took it grudgingly.]

[He was a teenage boy, and she was attractive. There was a split second where he almost looked tempted.]

[But he wasn't interested in going on a date - even with a girl as cute as her - if this was just some prank.]

Thank you, but no. Dating and romance aren't a priority for me right now - and neither is being subject to someone's elaborate idea of a prank.

[It certainly had nothing to do with the way Ishida was already pining for a certain girl whose heart already belonged to Kurosaki, even if the dense idiot still didn't know it after years.]

[And she assumed her normal form to hover up to meet him eye to eye.]

Like I said, grab your shit, we're going on a date to teach you how to pick up the object of your affection.

[Kyu already had his attention, but his eyes widened at that.]

[She wasn't a Shinigami or a Hollow or anything else he's encountered before - he'd have sensed it. But she was levitating. Which meant...]

... You're serious. You're telling the truth.

[It only fully registered a moment later everything she's said.]

I hadn't said anything about having an object of affections! [Yeah, that was going to fool her.]

[Still, if she tried to get him moving along to wherever she was going, she'd at least find he'd follow along, even if he was protesting he didn't want her help along the way.]

Duh, but trying to FIND someone you like is part of the job. So, I'm Kyu and I am a LOVE FAIRY. It's MY JOB, to get slackers like you hooked up. That means dating, gifts, romance, banging.
